Old Man's Cave Medallion

Beginning or End of the Trail

This is me at either the end or the beginning of the trail according to how you approach it.  For us it was the end of a really wonderful hike and the views were just spectacular.  Hope you get a chance to visit Old Man's Cave!

Old Man's Cave Upper Falls Trail

Waterfalls of Old Man's Cave

These waterfalls greet you as you leave the Old Man's Cave Trail area to begin the hike to the Upper Falls.  I will photograph the Upper Falls on the next visit!

Old Man's Cave CantiLever Bridge

Reminiscent of something made by Frank Lloyd Wright is this cantilver bridge between Old Man's Cave and Upper Falls.  It is quite a thrill to walk across as one has the feeling of stepping on stones suspended in mid air.  Our first experience with Mr. Wright's cantilever's was a tour of the home he built called Falling Waters, the home of the Kaufman's, in Pennsylvania.  What a tour that was! The glass floor area of the home was actually built right over the waterfall!

The Man in the side of the hill towards Lower Falls

As you leave Old Man's Cave towards the Lower Falls you will see the Sphynx, a plaque commemorates this man's profile carved in the side of the hill.
